Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film famous for her performance in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business from a young age. When she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of shows on television. She was praised for her portrayal on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominees featuring the divas. Alexandra was involved in a variety of significant international and national productions through the years. These projects include the British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she was a member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
