John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a lot of people through his music. A lot of them have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. grew up in Roswell New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado. He eventually settled in Aspen. A few took the road through Colorado due to Denver's famous songs for his home state. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame, stated: "I don't believe there any other performer who embodies Colorado in the same way as John Denver." Denver was the first Hall of Fame ever to be inducted. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado for everyone around the world. You meet people in different countries, such as New Zealanders. They say "I come originally from Colorado" then they immediately react with Oh John Denver. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads, co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time with folk bands which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff originally wrote it to Johnny Cash's tune with a focus on Johnny Cash, however Denver realized from the first moment he listened to the early versions that the song was going to be an instant success. Just a few days after performing to an excited audience at Washington D.C., the artist recorded the song.
